March 6, 2009

Screengrab! Firefox Extension is a handy web development tool with 6 excellent options. Screengrab! saves or copies to clipboard web pages as images.

The simple menu options:

1. the complete page/frame
2. the visible portion of the screen what you can see without scrolling
3. only a selection of the web page you choose by dragging a selection box

Screengrab Firefox Extension

Screengrab! is not part of any Firefox toolbar or menu, it is activated by a right mouse click. As far as screen capture goes it is a very easy to use screenshot creator.

By default Screengrab! saves the screen shots as png image files. If you wish to save them as jpg you can change the settings here: Tools – Add-ons – Screengrab! – Options

Note: If you are unhappy with your web hosting company and looking for a better alternative give Site5 Hosting a try.

Content Management Systems (CMS) like Wordpress and Drupal run great on Site5. This blog you are reading is using Wordpress.
I had bad experiences with other hosting companies but no issues with Site5. They always have outstanding server uptime, sign up specials, money back guarantee and you can host UNLIMITED domains under one account.

If you find negative reviews of Site5 most likely they are from before October 28th, 2008 … or from an angry competitor :)
Site5 has been under a very customer service oriented brand new management since October 28th, 2008 and it is an excellent company now! (The CEO of Site5 actually answers questions on the Site5 Forum, that is pretty hands on).

And just to prove I am a happy Site5 Hosting customer feel free to check my blog’s whois info!
(Scroll down and look for the Site5 name servers: DNS.SITE5.COM / DNS2.SITE5.COM)
