DenMica Eugene Natural Hair Weaves Weddings Hairstylist in Killeen, Texas

my name is Den’Mica Eugene, I am a 33 year old woman with a mind and desire to reach excellence in all areas of my life. I live without compromise, and I love what I do. I believe that it is my reasonable service to be innovative and creative with the gift that God has given me.
I am looking to take the hair industry to a personal new level of love for me. I will not stop until I have obtained the highest level possible.
My passion for hairstyling began as a child and developed into so much more when I had a bad hair care experience with a relaxer as a teenager. I began by doing my family and while attending Western Michigan University I did hair in my dorm room. Then in my early twenties I attended Virginia Farrell Beauty College, while shampooing for a local hairstylist in Detroit. Later I was under apprenticeship of Mr. Larry Johnson, e Salon in Detroit MI.
I decided to travel and join the military, while serving active duty in Scholfield Barracks Hawaii, I also did the soldiers and locals hair after work in my room. Coming off of active duty in 2001 of September I began to work at the New Millennium hair salon in Detroit MI. After working for a few months and being married to my husband who was stationed in Ft. Hood Texas I came to Killen, Texas as a military wife.
I found a local job at Nextel Communications, while building my clientele. I also worked at Judy’s Personal Touch in Killeen, as a hairstylist with the minimum of 70-80 clients rotating in a two week period, and at night attended AIU Online.
Later recognizing I was at a stand still I began to compete in local hair shows for Xtreme, in which I won second place, and a photo shoot for five of my models. I attended the College of Cosmetology in Killeen Texas who prepared me for my license, while in school I competed in the Outré Hair battle in Dallas Texas where my models made the local news and Outré still run the clips on their website.
Finally I went on to receive my license from the state of Texas and opened up a salon here in Killeen Texas. In 2006 I went on to compete in the Silverlistic Hair Battle and won 3rd place. In 2008 Salon 3:16 LLC has been apart of several community service programs for low-income families such as Prom Dream makeover along with Communities in school, as well as the back to school lock-in with Naffabe a local group supported by hairstylist and barbers.
At this point in my life I am looking to excel and incorporate new part if the industry into my career. I would love to enhance the beauty industry by allowing it to bring out the full potential that I possess.
