A Unique Photography Directory

My Photography Directory is not flashy like MySpace, Model Mayhem or OMP simply because I do not have the budget to build one.
I’d like to refer to the directory as well organized, practical, powerful and built to serve its members like Craigslist.

The directory is optimized for high visibility in Google searches which in turn means traffic to the websites of the members. There is a lot of muscle, a lot going on “under the hood” and given enough members sign up it will be a very effective directory!

The Photography Directory of Ferenc Ecseki is getting off on a strong start because the online visibility of its parent domain: this blog!
If you type in the words: model photographer into Google, http://ferenc.biz is Number One!
This website also ranks nicely in other photography and modeling related searches. Therefore the member profiles of the directory will not be buried in search results either!

I custom built the directory from scratch for models an photographers!
It might seem logical that a photography directory contains modeling and photographer profiles full of photos but there are very successful directories which are text only.

Professional Social Directory

The content of the member profiles is the true strength of the directory!
The member pages include a good mix of personal information, professional details and plenty of room for links to social networking profiles.

There are several photographer and model directories which charge a fee but prohibit members to place any outbound links to their websites or blogs! I encourage the sharing of information which can lead to making more professional contacts.

There are only 14 required fields to fill out so the profile creation is quick and easy!

Another unique feature is the Photographers’ Self Interview Questions page which can assist with writing an intriguing “About Me” section or anyone interested in being featured in this blog can email me the answers as well..

The Photography Directory of Ferenc Ecseki is running on Drupal platform as opposed to this blog which was built with WordPress. Drupal is a powerful content management system with a bit of a learning curve compared to the super easy to use WordPress.

The next step is promoting the directory! I am rolling my sleeves up for that!
