Hawaiian Photographic Memories
June 12, 2006
Possibly the last post of Hawaiian photos as I had a chance to sort through some snapshots taken throughout the 4 years.
Hawaii is a great destination for travel photographers not just for surfers or honeymooners.
I have a lot of found memories of the time spent on Hawaii and just like with any other travel destination getting away from the tourist traps is not all that difficult and the rewards are well worth it!
The photo of this turtle was taken on the Big Island on a deserted beach, as soon as it poked its head out rings formed in the water adding a nice element to the picture.

Same beach on the Big Island of Hawaii where the above turtle photo was taken. It was a great spot for snorkeling with these peaceful creatures.

Akaka falls is a beautiful scenic spot on the Big Island of Hawaii, the photo was taken from this usual tourist angle because we could not figure out how to descend.

Photo of white plumeria flower taken inside Koko crater on Oahu Island which houses an excellent botanical garden.

Pink plumeria flower photo from Koko crater which is adjacent the famous local boogie boarding spot: the excellent Sandy Beach.

Photo of the wildest cactus I have ever seen!

I found it a funny idea to incorporate this Japanese tour group into the postcard-beautiful view of Makapuu Beach and Sea Life Park on the Windward side of Oahu.

Powerful Hawaiian waves splash against the rocks of beautiful and rugged Makapuu Point

Photo of the volcanic ridges of the famous Napali Coast on the Northern part of the beautifully green Kauai Island

Photo taken from Waikiki Beach with famous Diamonhead Crater in the background, the catamaran is used for sunset and booze cruises.

Beautiful rainbow over Waikiki Beach and Diamonhead Crater, photo taken from a pier popular for sunset watching.

Photo of gorgeous pink sunset over Diamonhead Crater.
