The most popular Christian MySpace Groups are so large that contacting all of their members and sending them friend requests, comments, messages, event invites and bulletins would be impossible (or would take months) by using MySpace the conventional “manual” way.

Collecting MySpace Friends From Christianity Related MySpace Groups With Friend Blaster Pro

Let’s log into our fully functional FREE Demo or the full version of Friend Blaster Pro and navigate to MySpace Groups page:

Alternately if you have a smaller computer screen or just wish to have more browser window space showing you can collapse Friend Blaster Pro’s sidebar on the left hand side (see where the red arrow points) so the FBP menus disappear:

On the MySpace Groups home page click “Religion & Beliefs”:

Later you can do more specialized searches for keywords like “Jesus”, “Bible”, “Bible school”, “Bible study”, “prayer”, christian music etc. but as we can see on the next screenshot 3 out of the top 4 best MySpace groups are public and will already yield us over 320,000 fellow Christian MySpace users (at the time of this post):

Let’s select “Daily Bible Verse for Myspace” group, scroll down a bit and click on “View All Members”:

We have arrived to the page where we can start collecting all 172,417 “Daily Bible Verse for Myspace” group members. The over one hundred seventy thousand members occupy 4311 pages.
Adding all these friends by hand would take a lifetime but Friend Blaster Pro will crawl all 4311 pages automatically and will collect all MySpace IDs which can be saved in a simple text file:

Before clicking the Start button make sure Friend Blaster Pro’s Gather IDs setting is as follows:

The speed of Friend Blaster Pro will depend on the amount of RAM in your computer and your internet connection speed but nevertheless it is a fast program on all modern computers.
Most likely you will not be compiling a huge list of over 170,000 MySpace profiles every day. When you do be prepared to put aside several hours for a task of this magnitude.

For a monster task like this it is a good idea to leave Friend Blaster Pro alone and let it do its magic while you are sleeping or while running errands, although the program can be running “in the background” without problems while you are using your computer for other reasons.

When the profiles are gathered the resulting list can be saved in a simple text file. The file can be emailed, shared, archived etc. I always save each list twice, one as a backup copy and another one as a working copy.

Find Christian Music Bands Like Pillar And Christian Music Fans On MySpace

Let’s look at one more MySpace Christian Music related example which can help open our minds to realize the true networking power and potential of Friend Blaster Pro.
The following goals / networking steps are easily possible with Friend Blaster Pro.

Our Main Goal: finding great Christian music on MySpace, sending these Christian bands friend requests plus sending their friends / music fans friend requests.

Optional Goals:

• sending a short 150 character greeting message with each friend request
• sending a proper message (how much you love their music etc.)
• adding the bands to our friend updates
• posting comments in both HTML and non-HTML formats
• sending out a variety of different bulletins at random times
• sending out event invites

In this post we will concentrate on our main goal; for detailed explanations about the optional goals see the related links on the bottom of the post.

To find the best Christian bands, from within Friend Blaster Pro let’s go to MySpace Music and click on Top Artists. Our choices are “Christian”, “Christian Rap”, “Gospel”, “Religious”.
For our example we will search for “Christian” in all the states of USA:

With our search results returned we are ready to collect the MySpace member IDs of all these bands.
Settings are the same as before when we were collecting from MySpace groups:
- Gather IDs from All pages (this setting ensures that Friend Blaster Pro crawls all pages)
- Quick Gather

It took about 30 seconds for Friend Blaster Pro to crawl all 10 pages and collect 300 Christian band IDs. The IDs are listed in the left hand column, ready to be saved, or used.
It is probably best to save the list and name it with a descriptive file name so later you can send custom tailored comments, invites and messages specific to the content of the list.

For our example we will choose Pillar a rock / metal Christian band from Tulsa Oklahoma:

As you might have guessed we will go to the friend list of Pillar, the band has 140,162 MySpace music friends at the time of this post. Click on “View All Of Pillar’s Friends”:

We have arrived to a familiar place that we know well: and we are ready to collect all 140,162 MySpace fiends from 3,505 pages using the same settings as above:
- Gather IDs from All pages (this setting ensures that Friend Blaster Pro crawls all pages)
- Quick Gather
This task will take several hours, best to do while you are sleeping or away from home at work.

The resulting list can be named indicating that it contains fans of bands although the list will have plenty of bands in it as well. For example: christian-music-fans-orig.txt and christian-music-fans-backup.txt.
There are no rules the way you organize your lists is totally up to you.

Adding Fellow Christian MySpace Friends With Friend Blaster Pro’s Built In Google Search

Besides finding Christianity related MySpace Groups you can use the built in Google search feature of Friend Blaster Pro.
Select the checkbox “Gather IDs from Google Search” and click the Start button. A Google search box pops up as seen on this screen shot:

Enter your search term in this case “bible study” and click search. As you can see the Google search engine will return up to 1000 results (the same amount you get when using the web browser based Google).
In the case of “bible study” FBP found 511 MySpace IDs and placed them into that left hand side column. That list can be saved or used for a variety of networking tasks. You can run multiple Google searches one after another and the IDs will accumulate in your list BUT WITHOUT DUPLICATES!

By using the built in Google search feature you can find additional Christian MySpace members who do not belong to Christianity related groups.

Note: Google search will return with the MySpace IDs of any MySpace profile page that has the given keyword (in our example “bible study”) on it.
Please note: this means that the owner of the page may not have “bible study” in the body of their profile but perhaps in one of the comments.
I would not consider this an issue because if a comment was approved containing “bible study” most likely the owner of the page is “relevant enough” and will be interested to accept your friend requests.

The built in Google search feature of Friend Blaster Pro is a very effective tool, use your imagination and enter the keywords related to your niche, product, service, business or hobby and you will be getting up to 1000 relevant MySpace IDs each time you run the search!

Find Christian MySpace Members With My Advanced Google Search Technique

Another useful feature of Friend Blaster Pro is that it has a built in web browser (the right hand side section of the workspace).
This gave me the idea to conduct specialized Google searches from within Friend Blaster Pro using the browser therefore extending the built in Google search feature.

Friend Blaster Pro is promoted in a way that it can collect MySpace friend IDs from virtually any page from within MySpace but I have not read about this type of use. This advanced method can definitely increase the amount of highly relevant Christian MySpace members you will be able to connect with.

To get started let’s go to Google search from within FBP software and do a search for:
site:myspace.com “bible study”
Note: under Google search preferences make sure you have “Display 100 results per page” selected. This screen shot shows where we should be now:

As you can see we have over 70,000 Google search results which contain “bible study”. This is a good start although a bit general but we can get a lot more specific with our searches targeting the exact demographics we wish – keep reading to see how.

The appropriate settings for collecting friend IDs from these Google search result pages:
- Gather IDs from Current Page Only
- Full Gather

The limit for every Google search result is 1000. In case you get millions of results for very popular keywords or you wish to get a lot more specific you can further narrow down your search.

Some highly specialized Google search ideas using customized parameters:
- site:myspace.com “bible study” male (returns only male MySpace profiles – use Full Gather option!)
- site:myspace.com “bible study” female (only female MySpace profiles – use Full Gather option!)
- site:myspace.com “bible study” california (state specific profiles – use Full Gather option!)
- site:profile.myspace.com “bible study” (profile.myspace.com returns profiles with “old style” MySpace URLs which include “Profile&friendID=0123456789″ – use Quick Gather option!)
- site:profile.myspace.com “bible study” male (only male MySpace profiles with “old style” URLs – use Quick Gather option!)
- site:profile.myspace.com “bible study” female (only female MySpace profiles with “old style” URLs – use Quick Gather option!)

Note: for all searches which originate from profile.myspace.com you can use Quick Gather option. Otherwise due to recent changes made in how MySpace handles URLs use Full Gather!

This method can divide the millions of results into several 1000’s. Depending on your keywords and niche there are endless ways to customize these searches to fit your needs.
If you are wondering about not being able to get more than a 1000 IDs per search it is most likely for the best anyways. As you get closer to the end of your 1000 results the relevance of the profiles decrease.

TIP: You should keep checking every 100 results as you progress and if the keyword relevance of profiles drops you should stop even before reaching the last page of 1000 results.
The reason for this is that you want to collect highly relevant MySpace friend IDs because you want to connect with real fellow Christians who will be happy to accept your friend request, who will be actively networking with you, commenting on your page and will not view you and flag you as a spammer.

Note: Friend Blaster Pro will not collect the same MySpace ID several times so you can keep on collecting IDs from all the different variations of each custom search and even though some of the searches will definitely overlap you will not have duplicates IDs in your list!
