Next Top Bikini & Fashion Model Of Fiji: Sarah Gerber

At first look fashion model photography in Fiji does have room for me.

The basic plan about coming to Fiji was to build Sarah’s portfolio and to take travel photos and tropical stock images.

Sarah and I already created a One Model Place portfolio from the photos of our first shoot.

The photo shoot location was one of the nicest beaches of mainland Fiji:
Natandola Beach.
Fiji might be characterized as unsophisticated but that should not be said in a derogatory manner. It might receive the unfortunate invasion which Hawaii suffers from but not yet, life is even more basic and people are even more happy and more friendly than in Hawaii.

A quick note about beautiful beaches and photography. Many times people recommend beautiful scenic spots which are truly gems to visit but lack what is needed for an eye-catching fashion, portrait or even landscape photo.

Simplicity rules and the less visual clutter the easier to focus on the model and keep the background on an accessory level.

Because a photographer’s and a non-photographer’s eyes will see differently the recommendations of local people needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It does not mean it will be a lost day but having low expectations, keeping an open mind and being prepared to improvise will save the day under most circumstances.
