Black And White Photos Of Asian Model Wearing Trucker Hat

These black and white photos were taken at the Zanzabar Night Club in Waikiki where Jenny my beautiful Asian model is a Go-Go dancer.

I selected a few versions of Jenny wearing a red and white trucker hat and a white wifebeater with short shorts just to show how I like to improvise with angles, lighting, composition and how I utilize props and locations.

When forced to use one on camera flash as the main light source the harshness of the illumination cannot be avoided. It can be harnessed though to create paparazzi like invasive look and add drama to the photos.

This photo has several lines created by the trucker hat’s visor, the flowing hair and the fingers which lead the eyes of the viewer towards the model’s beautiful face.
Because the flash is on the top of the camera a shadow is created under the visor of the trucker hat which in turn hides one of the model’s eyes creating an edgy look.

A closer (in camera) crop provides a slightly more intimate close-up; without any distraction the beautiful face of the model can be admired.

Switching to portrait mode reveals a cool metallic background (the wall of the Zanzabar Night Club’s restroom). Slight changes in pose or angles can improve a photo, so at least a dozen or more versions are taken of every good setup.

Small changes and details can yield a completely different look. The strong jaw, looking over the nude shoulder, the exotic Asian features, the cute expression all contribute to this photo’s success.

A bit of a camera tilt, some attitude and the Philthy name of the trucker hat create another look here. Quite simple in composition and execution, this picture could be used for flyers or other promotional materials.

Unplanned props are everywhere at every photoshoot and I love to improvise with them and come up with concepts and looks which make the creative process fun and unpredictable.
Here my beautiful model is being a great sport by grabbing a janitor’s mop.
Another lucky break is the excellent background courtesy of the wall of the restroom. What is no accident is the careful selection of the outfit which usually comes from the closet of the model. Jenny being a Go-Go dancer meant having some edgy and provocative clothing items like these pairs of white short shorts which go great with the white wifebeater.

Composed in landscape format, it is time to get a bit closer and create some dynamic lines so all elements of the photo are pleasing to the eyes. The interior if the night club was quite dark so the white wifebeater happened to be a great wardrobe choice for this series.
