Beautiful Mongolian Model Photography In Budapest, Hungary

I was very happy to have the opportunity to shoot with experienced Mongolian born model named Ocsi who lives in Budapest, Hungary.
I am the greatest fan of Asian models and having lived in Hawaii has given me several opportunities to do Asian themed photoshoots at exotic places.
Using a different location virtually for every project has its challenges and benefits.
We used the most interesting characteristics of this apartment in Budapest, really different setups, the great clothes Ocsi brought and her natural beauty to create a nice variety of photos.
The first photo is my favorite from this session. The quiet beauty, simplicity, the lines and colors all fall into place telling the story. The pastel colored wall was one of our lucky breaks in this apartment, it had no pictures or shelves, just a blank canvas waiting to be used as a perfect background.
After viewing my favorite photo let’s start at the beginning of the photoshoot and continue with the rest of the pictures in chronological order. We started on the balcony where we had open shade (lucky break) and used a Nikon F2 camera as a prop. The posing was very casual not looking into and acknowledging the camera gives an intimate feel to the photo like the girl is not even aware of being photographed.
I was standing on a chair on the balcony so I could place the neighboring buildings in the background instead of the very bright sky. There a re several great diagonal lines in the picture giving it a dynamic look and feel. My models in my pictures are never asked to smile I always prefer to observe and capture quiet beauty or whatever emotion comes naturally.
I also like the lack of colors in the photo, besides the model herself it is basically a black and white picture.
Playing with different compositions, here the railing of the balcony provide some geometry but the off centered v-neck of the model’s blouse and the exposed shoulder is what creates a nice dynamic visual element. Not to mention of course the youthful amazing beauty of this Mongolian girl.
There is a bit of mystery and attitude in the eyes; the color red and green always compliment each other. The photo has an uncomplicated, clean and fresh look.
I really enjoy defined jaw lines on my models, when present often that facial feature is the best visual element in the photo for me.
As we moved inside the apartment from the balcony an ordinary curtain caught my attention and decided to make it into a prop and experiment with it. Often these snap decisions which could not have been planned beforehand turn out to be the inspiration for the best photos of the session.
I enjoy this composition and once again the look and emotion of the model is right on the spot, exactly my style of model photography. These moods and emotions come naturally from the model, I did not ask for it, my role is just to provide a comfortable atmosphere and capture the natural beauty in front of me.
Continuing to experiment with different compositions using the curtain; I really enjoy this creative process especially when the model is naturally beautiful, confident, patient and wiling to play along.
Here is another interesting rendition where the necklace is showing. I do not recall arranging the pearls so evenly; their perfectly symmetric arrangement was another lucky break.
One more shot with the balcony curtain where diagonal lines add an interesting dynamic element to an otherwise quiet portrait.
We’re back at the pastel colored walls; lucky break of the day where I took a lot of portrait shots, all different and interesting thanks to the beauty and intelligence of this Mongolian girl.
A bit edgy version with some attitude.
The apartment had a sheep skin covered couch with a nice high back like a restaurant booth would have. It was a great piece of furniture; a comfortable place to lay down to create an intimate mood plus it’s high back provided an excellent uncomplicated background.
Another lucky break was that the couch was in front of the window so there was plenty of soft natural light, some of it was reflected back by the white sheep skin into the model’s face. I like the comfortable pose and intimate moment captured on this picture.
No diagonal lines here just horizontals and verticals, an interesting simple composition where the model once again seems not to be aware of the camera.
We moved into the kitchen where the following bikini photos were taken. Eliminating the usual elements of an old Hungarian Communist kitchen like the table, stove and cupboards and utilizing only the bamboo decoration as a perfect backdrop the photo looks like it could have been taken in Asia. I really enjoy making the best of or manipulating a location to achieve a look that pleases me.
