Beautiful Black Lingerie Model Photos From Kahala Hotel Hawaii

One of my earliest lingerie and fashion model photoshoots could have been an intimidating experience but it turned out to be fun and productive giving me confidence for future projects.
The location was one of the best hotels of Hawaii: the Kahala Hotel & Resort. Just to give an idea of the level of luxury: the hotel has it’s own dolphin.
The beautiful black lingerie and fashion model was from Panama and came with some modeling experience.
While I prefer to photograph amateur models or non-models “this early in the game” it was comforting that at least one of us has done this before.

The hotel room was nice and bright so after getting hair and make-up done we started shooting with this photo being one of the first.
A certain amount of chemistry is needed between model and photographer for a lingerie photo session to go nice and smooth. There is probably no set recipe to achieve this but a meeting before the photoshoot and the discussion of ideas and concepts helps. Also keeping a cool head and not pushing the envelop to much also puts the model at ease resulting in more natural and intimate photos.
The shape and pattern of the purple corset nicely leads the eye of the viewer up towards the beautiful face of the model.
Clean and simple composition; one thing to look out for is to place all body parts in the “right order” and not to have an arm, a leg or a foot coming out of someone’s head.
An example of camera tilt which I did extensively when starting model photography and more often than not I consider it a weak compositional technique.
Eventually I reduced if not completely kicked this habit but it is fun to notice how some photographer employ it excessively as well.
Fortunately there is a payoff in this instance with slightly more curves showing.
A classic lingerie model composition with an intimate feel; angling the body is key so the diagonal line created adds a dynamic feel.
A little bit of pin-up an little bit of lingerie modeling here; the camera tilt here is quite necessary to add a dynamic happy feel to the photo.
Edgy Fashion Modeling In Kahala Hotel Shower
Great wardrobe and pros are key and they are most often provided by the model. Using the futuristic metallic outfit and the short French wig ensured that there will be variety in the finished product.
The look of the clothes begged to have the model in the shower, it was such an obvious choice.
I clearly remember asking the model to grab the shower head was my idea; beside being slightly? suggestive it opened up the models pose and elongated her body through the picture frame. It is one of my favorite photos from this session.

This photo celebrates the beautiful long legs of our model. No they are not a pair of gorgeous black twins, it’s a mirror!
Some people seem to be confused about which model is looking at them and how he whole eye contact works; I do not find this photo terribly complicated but it is always fun to hear others’ opinions.
A different hairstyle, beautiful lingerie and my favorite accessory (a choker) accentuates the gorgeous body of our Panamanian model here.
Modeling Poses In Black Lacy Lingerie
The following photo was published in a magazine which was featuring our model. It really has a balanced flow to it; also the skin color of the model nicely blends with the color of the pillows and the bed.
Remember this is one of my first lingerie modeling photoshoot so it’s bound to happen that some typical model poses come up. Humble beginnings, what can I say?

Beautiful Black Lingerie Model And Hotel Mirror
The bathroom mirror and its immediate surrounding were an obvious choice for a few photos, The striped wallpaper, the two lamps on either side, the marble sink, the thick wooden mirror frame and the circular large mirror itself was something like a set designer would put together.
I tried to accentuate the curves of the model to match the curve of the mirror .. in the name of geometry of course.
Another version now with a gorgeous smile, this time the lingerie and it’s beautiful fabric is more pronounced adding a different kind of visual excitement as opposed to the previous photo.
A change of lingerie again and another visual lesson on geometry.
This was a snapshot of sort in between poses. I like the serene mood of the model plus the symmetry of the background.
