Why Is My Travel and Photoblog Designed on Wordpress?
Wordpress is endlessly customizable and very simple to use.
First time I was introduced to another quite complicated Content Management Systems (CMS) I had a flashback to a few years back when I was involved with computers as a possible career. That system was so complicated and troublesome that I almost abandoned CMS and blogging all together.
Wordpress requires computer skills just a little bit above of being able to write an email and to upload a file.
So many people are using it happily that you will find information or answer to any question you can possibly have just by doing a quick internet search.

What Are Wordpress Plugins?
Plugins are the true power behind Wordpress, they are tools to extend the functionality of WordPress.
The core of WordPress is designed to be lean, to maximize flexibility and minimize code bloat.
Plugins offer custom functions and features so that each user can tailor their site to their specific needs.
There are so many plugins one can get caught up in wanting more than truly needed.
I also experimented with a wide variety of plugins eventually narrowing my top plugins list down to the essentials.
