Google Analytics is a free service offering the tracking of visitor statistics.
In this post I will share some data about who has visited my website between June 1st, 2007 and September 8th, 2007 and where they came from.
For anyone unfamiliar with Google Analytics this post is a good introduction to some of its features.
Why 99 days?
First of all: 99 sounded like a good number.
The only reason I did not choose 100 is so the number 99 would make some people wonder why it is not 100. Yes always gray matter stimulating blog content on this site!
Secondly: it is easy to arrive at the daily averages by dividing the totals by 100 and 99 days is long enough to see overall trends.
Some Google Analytics Report Highlights:
- 29,090 Visits - average 290 visits per day and 10,000 per month
- 80,474 Pageviews - average 800 pages viewed per day
- 2.77 Pages/Visit
- 54.05% Bounce Rate - half the visitors never clicked on another page! Ouch! But still better than the President’s popularity ratings!
- 00:04:17 Avg. Time on Site
- 91.00% % New Visits
- 26,748 Absolute Unique Visitors
- Total of 522 different websites have referred visitors - nice number!
- 5,928 different keywords have been used!!! Quite an impressive number!
- One single post containing a Hawaiian rainforest swimsuit model photo brought 3,252 visitors to my website in 99 days!
