Angsuman’s Translator Plugin Pro 4.0.1 for Wordpress blogs has been released!
Translator Plugin Pro supports these 14 languages: English, Chinese, Russian, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Norwegian, Korean, Arabic and Greek.
Angsuman’s Translator Plugin Pro 4.0.1 allows translation of my blog to 13 major world languages from the previous 8 languages.
There are flags below the titles of every page and every post to navigate to the translated pages.
I have had this plugin for the past 3 months, here are my pros:
- increased number of pages crawled by Google
- higher visibility in non-English search results
- free lifetime upgrades
- possibly being discovered by French Vogue
and cons:
- short visitor stay due to poor translation quality
- as opposed to other free Wordpress plugins, Angsuman’s Translator Plugin Pro cost $30 PER BLOG! for an additional subdomain a 2nd plugin is $25.
(Update: single blog versions cost $100-200, the unlimited license now costs between 200-400 dollars)
The biggest question for me is translation accuracy.
It is poor at best but it is an opportunity for millions more to find my blog.
If the text is impossible to understand there is an American flag which enables the visitors to switch back to English.
