6 Month Report - June 11, 2006 to December 11, 2006
I use the excellent and free Google Analytics to track the visitors of my blog.
It has been six months since I converted my website to a Wordpress blog format.

My reasons to have a blog:
- more text content for increased visibility in photography related search results
- convenient features i.e. guest comments, RSS, spam control
- everybody has a blog :)

Some of the data I’ve been tracking during the past 6 months:
- number of visits ( 20526 total, average: 3421 per month)
- number of page views ( 56,997 total, average: 9,500 per month)
- visitor location, IP address, language (147 countries, 63 languages)
- referral source (594 sources, #1 = Google: 8,748 search result referrals)
- search result keywords ( 6,285 total, #1 most frequent = model photography )
- entry page and exit page
- top content, length of visit
- browser, screen resolution, operating system, connection speed

Six months in a life of a blog is still considered the blog’s infancy.
My visitor statistics are expected to climb in the future as more text content is added, as more inbound links are pointing to my blog, as my blog ages in the eyes of search engines therefore more people find it.
