Q: Tell a little about yourself personally and if you attended school or you are a self taught makeup artist?
A: I taught myself about makeup at an early age. I used to take faces from magazines, study them and recreate the look on myself or friends
Q: Do you think going to school for make-up artistry is important to excel in the business later on?
A: Any additional education is helpful.
Q: Did you always wanted to be an artist, or did you stumble upon your talent by chance? Who or what inspired you to become a makeup artist?
A: I come from a very artistic family, I have always loved the beauty industry, I loved the super models like Paulina, Elle, and Christy. Their beauty inspired me.
Q: What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about your job?
A: I love the transformation makeup provides
Q: What surprises you most about working as a makeup artist?
A: Makeup looks different on everyone
Q: Describe your “Classic Approach to Beauty.” how do you define beauty?
A: Beauty is in every woman, i help bring it out with applying the right shades.
Q: What individual products and brands you’re “addicted” to at the moment and you use on a daily basis?
A: I am addicted to Lancome dual finish. It is a wet or dry powder that gives your skin a flawless look. I also love hypnose mascara!
Q: What are some of the most basic but effective skin care tips in general that you have, that are really important?
A: Cleanse and moisturize , Exfoliate twice a week Don’t go to sleep with your makeup on!
Q: Have you had an extreme, crazy or bad experience with a skin care product or during a makeup session? If so, what happened?
A: I had this client who never wore makeup before, When i handed her the mirror after i was finished and she started crying so hard, she cried her makeup off!
Q: What do you find to be the most common mistakes women make with makeup? What’s the worst thing a woman can do to her skin?
A: I always see a lot of women with the wrong shade of foundation, The worst thing a women can do to her skin is not wear a sunscreen!
Q: What do you think are best/worst trends in the makeup / skin care industry right now?
A: The best trends right now are the mineral based products. The industries are caring more about what is going into the products and that is very beneficial to your skin.
Q: Do teenage girls need to splurge on high-priced makeup products, or are drugstore items are just as satisfactory?
A: I use alot of drugstore products on myself and my clients. It all depends on the brand and the ingredients.
Q: What feature(s) do you love to accentuate and why?
A: I love the eyes. You can do so much with them, They are the window to the soul!

Q: What are your steps for the perfect, flawless, natural look?
A: after cleansing, moisturize , a tinted moisturizer, or powder foundation, then a neutral colored blush right on the apples of the cheeks, a little mascara (on the top lashes only) and then a neutral lip gloss!
Q: What is a really quick way to change a day look to a special occasion or nighttime face?
A: just go a little more dramatic with the eye makeup. A deeper color in the crease, heavier eye liner. A bold color on the lips also is great for nighttime.
Q: What are the differences between applying makeup on models and on real women?
A: Models are in front of cameras all day, so a lot of shading and contouring is done for them! My regular clients are just looking for a clean natural glow!
Q: In terms of eyeliner, if you had to choose between a pencil, liquid, or creme/gel based, which one would you choose? Why?
A: It all depends on what look i was going for! A pencil is good for every day, liquid is beautiful for a cat eye, and gel based is a little more forgiving so it can be used for day or night.
Q: Lip gloss or Lipstick. Which product is best? Why?
A: again, it all depends on the look i am going for, Lipstick is great for full dramatic look. Lip gloss is great if you want just a pop of color!
Q: What brand/type of concealer is your favorite for covering up the after effects of a late night out i.e. under-eye circles, blemishes?
A: My favorite concealer is smashbox high definition. It has a velvet texture and smooths on easily!
Q: What do your clients think of you? What are some individual testimonials?
A: My clients think i am very easy going, and very knowledgeable about my business! I am very accommodating to their specific needs! I am also very friendly :)
Q: Would you share some of your future goals, your life motto, any words of wisdom that get you by in life and professional career?
A: My future goal is to make my own makeup. My motto is there is always room for improvement! You have to be dedicated and believe in your passion
Q: What tips and advice do you have for aspiring makeup artists just starting out?
A: Patience, Listen to your clients.
