Interview With Holly Jane Alternative Tattooed Fashion Model
Q: Ouick intro please, tell us about yourself … where you were born, ethnic background etc.
A: I am just a simple girl from Buffalo New York, who moved around a lot growing up. I am half German and half Polish. A natural platinum blonde who later on spent a lot of time in the country.
I worked a lot of training and showing horses, then got into photography and fashion which eventually carried over into modeling. Which is something I just fell in love with and new that it was something I really wanted to do.
Q: How would you describe yourself as model in three words?
A: Professional, Responsible, Fun!
Q: How would you describe yourself as human being in three words?
A: Open, Kind, Strong
Q: What’s controversial or unique about you?
A: I have tattoo’s and believe in fighting against tattoo discrimination. Nobody should be judged on the color of their skin. Born or Self Made.
Q: Which ONE superpower would you choose to have?
A: the ALL SUPER POWER, power. Or does that not count? (;
Q: What are your turn ons and turn offs?
A: A few turn ons would have to be, a good sense of humor, someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, a true gentleman, has to play a musical instrument, fast cars, and blondes.
Turn offs – dirty people, scumbags, thieves, liars, sluts, immature people and drunks.
Q: What is your favorite part about your body?
A: My legs!!!
Q: What is your favorite or most exciting aspect about being a model?
A: Meeting all kinds of people and being able to bring different ideas together and create a beautiful picture!
Q: What’s the funniest thing that happened to you on a photoshoot or fashion show?
A: I did a shoot for a clothing company once in a nice studio and had to change into different outfits quickly, I just took it all off and was putting different things on and as I was leaving the shoot I ended up getting tape stuck to my bum and walked around with people just staring at me. Until the photographer pulled the tape off of me. We just laughed it off.
Q: Did you always wanted to be an model, or did you stumble upon it, get discovered etc.? Who or what inspired you to become a model?
A: I just stumbled upon it really. I wanted to be the designer and the photographer. I never thought of myself as model material. Although, as a child my mom wanted me to model. They said my skin was too fair to be a print model. I guess I proved them wrong, I have been in a magazine and a book so far! HA!
Q: Who is your favorite photographer, designer, high-fashion model and celebrity? Why?
A: MichelleXStar, Jessica Louise, Audrey Kitching [she's not high fashion but she's a real talent] and Robert Pattinson…yum. The first three have an awesome fashion sense and an awesome way of putting things together and Robert Pattinson is absolutely stunning.
Q: Which is your single most favorite (must have on a deserted island) magazine? Why?
A: Any tattoo or classic hot rod magazine will do just fine!
Q: How do you feel about models who refuse to do topless or nude photography? Do you?
A: To each is own. I am an alternative erotica model, myself and enjoy it.
Q: What would you like to change about yourself if you can choose only one thing?
A: My nose, it’s a bit too big for my taste.
Q: Have you had any negative experiences with model agencies, talent scouts? What are top 3 warning signs to look out for?
A: If a company tells you to pay money up front, it’s bull. If a company really wants you, they wont make you pay them. That’s just dumb.
Q: What do you think about the show America’s Next Top Model? Who is cast, past winners, show format, etc.?
A: I love the show and want to go on it! They should have more under 5’7″ models! Even though I am 5’8″ – there is a lot of smaller talent out there that deserves an equal chance!
Q: What are your thoughts on beauty pageants, contestants and pageant moms?
A: UGH..don’t even get me started. It’s absolutely dumb. they are all fakes. sorry!
Q: Would you work for a client that uses fur? What is the best way to balance personal beliefs and client needs?
A: I would. Even though I am against it personally. I try not to mix work and pleasure. it’s different if they were asking me to have intercourse with someone. that’s a little too personal and just isn’t my thing to do for a “job”.
Q: Do you do any type of charity work?
A: I love to volunteer and to fund raisers for those in need. Both human and animal!
Q: What tips and advice do you have for aspiring models just starting out?
A: Be open minded but have your boundaries. If you get pressured into something you are not comfortable with, it will carry over and may not make you want to model in the future. Safety first and only do what you are comfortable with.
Q: Would you share some of your future goals, your life motto, any words of wisdom that get you by in life and professional career?
A: “I would rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.” Screw the world, do what you love and love what you do! – Me!
