Russian Fashion and Lingerie Model in a Castle
While I was visiting friends in Belgium I was doing photoshoots which were pre-arranged from back in Hawaii.
One of these sessions took place at a 100 year old Dutch castle which was near where I was staying just on the other side of the Holland border.
The Russian born model has strong, dramatic look which I prefer to cute and innocent on any day of the week.

The themes were fashion and lingerie model photography using the antique look of the castle. It was fun to scout this location and get creative with different compositions like the use of this wall radiator and the heavy window curtains.

Elegant Lingerie Model Photography

There were a lot of lines to work with which I love; geometry gives a solid rigid framework, in that structure I can place a model and see what happens. The model’s body also adds its own lines making this photo dynamic with many interesting elements to explore.

Beauty Of On Location Photography: Compositions From Improvisation

This was a great arrangement, not setup by me but was found exactly like this. As soon as the model sat down the flower vase became her hat and the back of the furniture gave her nicely curved wings! Many great lines in this photo as well, including the window shutters and window frame which were purposefully matched by the rigid upright pose of the model.

Candid Model Photography: Less Posing And More Personalty

A casual photo snapped while between more formal setups. What I like here is that the strong geometry of the background is being offset be the model’s relaxed pose.

Edgy Russian Fashion Model On Giant Footrest

It was not simple to frame this huge footrest (of the rich and famous) and arrange a dynamic and interesting pose at the same time.

Moments Of Reflection On A Grand Piano

When I sat down here I saw that there were several elements that had to be fit into this picture possibly at the risk of the composition becoming too busy. But the model successfully dominates the image creating accessories from what I though might be distractions.

A bit more relaxed pose here; our allowed time in the castle was a factor but we were able to try a couple of versions of each setup.
