Japanese Fashion And Lingerie Modeling at Night
Sandy Beach Park on the Windward side of Oahu was the location for this night photoshoot with a young Japanese model.
Doing bikini and lingerie model photography at night offers a few comforting and exciting elements.
There are no people staring, no hot sun blazing down and casting undesirable shadows, the harsh flash being the only source of light creates drama and paparazzi like invasive feel. Also the pitch black background makes the main subject really stand out adding an intriguing black space to the photos.
Japanese Fashion Model In White Mini Dress
We started with a cute white cocktail mini dress in front of a lava rock wall; usually minimal direction is given to the model to lessen the chances for fake and uncomfortable poses. I like to have the location inspire the model which in turn will inspire me.
I enjoy capturing strength, confidence and even attitude in portraits. The exotic features of this beautiful Asian model are undeniable and really dominate her photos.

Asian Lingerie Model Photos From Beach Cave
A shallow cave carved out by the waves on Sandy Beach was a great find, it provided a unique slightly claustrophobic visual element being able to squeeze our lingerie model between the sandy ground and the lava rock ceiling.
It was key to have colors that pop so the red and white lingerie came handy for this setup. My trusty Nikon flash provided just the right amount of illumination.

Enjoy this mandatory crawling photo which is a must during any bikini or lingerie modeling photo session as our exotic model exits the confines of the cave! Free at last!

A signature looking back over the shoulder portrait ala Paris Hilton.

I never ask for smiles during a photoshoot because if I have to ask most likely it will be forced and fake.
I consider myself the luckiest photographer when I encounter strength confidence like this no matter what type of modeling it is associated with. Asian lingerie model with attitude – perfect!

Japanese Lingerie Model In Neon Green Fishnet Top
During my ghetto fabulous photoshoots (the models being the fabulous part of course) my job is to make the best of every situation through improvisation and inspiration. Most of what the models wear in my photos belong to them and the neon green fishnet top seen in the following pictures is no exception. Another winning wardrobe choice for this location and lighting conditions.
A nice but slightly twisted and bent pose gives an intimate feel to this photo.

Time to get wet! Using the ocean as location for swimsuit model photography is obvious but for a lingerie theme especially with a Japanese model the wet look while remaining classy creates an exotic mood.

An example how less is more when it comes to emoting or posing. I am quite sure I gave no directions to the models for this picture; it is clear how comfortable she is by her body language which can be seldom achieved with extensive directions not to mention barking out orders.
I really like the relaxed confident beauty of the model here.

Taking pictures from an elevated vantage point always creates drama, tension and excitement. The photographer and the viewer of the photo are in a dominant position which consciously or unconsciously is a desirable place to be.
Timing the wave and getting a splash on the models body was important so the photo becomes more dynamic.

Another version with a different pose includes more lava rocks and more of the surroundings.

A more relaxed pose therefore the water is no longer rushing in, fortunately there are many shapes, sizes and depths of lava pools to choose from at Sandy Beach Park.

A close-up portrait of our beautiful edgy Japanese model with wet hair ends this set.
